The Madison County Bar Association was incorporated on December 6, 1974. The founders purpose of the Association was to uphold and defend the Constitutions of the United States of America and the State of Indiana; to develop and maintain the integrity and impartiality of the administration of justice; to promote reforms in the law and modernization of the judicial system; to cultivate jurisprudence; to encourage and provide continued education of the practicing lawyer and cultivate of professional excellence and maintenance of high ethical standards; to uphold the honor of the profession of law; to apply knowledge and experience in the field of law to the promotion of public good.
